Beef Noodles, Street Food
A bowl of Kon Low Ngau Chap at Niu Niu Kulai Beef Noodle in Puchong proved to be a mixed experience despite the high online praise. This stall, located within 1818 Nanyang Kopitiam, is known for its generous portions and traditional preparations.

The dish (RM15.50 for a small portion) arrived with heaps of ingredients that completely covered the thick noodles beneath. While the serving size was impressive, the sauce featured a sweetness that was a bit distracting for me. Even the presence of kiam chai (salted vegetables) couldn’t fully cut through the sweet edge of the thick gravy.

For future visits, the soup version might offer a more balanced flavour profile for me.
There is a Niu Niu Kulai Beef Noodle in OUG but I do not know if they are related to that shop in any way.
Kon Low Ngau Chap (Small): RM15.50
Kon Low Ngau Chap (Big): RM16.50
Meat Ball Noodle (Small): RM12.50
Meat Ball Noodle (Big): RM13.50

M – Meal Value
At RM15.50, the portion is exceptionally generous. The volume of beef offal and the overall heartiness of the bowl provide strong value for money, even if the flavor profile didn’t perfectly hit the mark this time.
Score: 7.5/10
V – Venue & Vibes
The stall is housed within 1818 Nanyang Kopitiam, a lively neighborhood food hub. It offers an air-conditioned environment that is perfect for a comfortable street food lunch.
Score: 7.5/10
X – X-Factor
The X-factor is undoubtedly the “generous serving”. The way the ingredients overflowed and covered the noodles beneath created an immediate visual impact and a sense of abundance that is increasingly rare at this price point. Unfortunately the flavour was not to my preference
