Jiangxi, Stir Fried Noodles
Lunch at Jiang Xi Xiao Chao in SS15. This is a restaurant that’s easy to miss because it’s located above ground.

Step in to a utilitarian space. No frills, just focus on the food.

The Stir-Fried Rice Noodles with Pork was good and tasty, outshining the Chicken Fried Rice.

The rice itself felt like it lacked a little something, so I decided to order the Stir-Fried Beef to accompany it. That turned out to be a great move—the beef acted as a perfect, savoury complement to the rice.

One thing to note for locals: the “spicy” option here is mild compared to what we are used to. If you already have a typical Malaysian tolerance for heat, I’d suggest going ahead and ordering the spicy level to fully experience the Jiangxi profile.
Jiang Xi Stir-Fried Noodles with Pork: RM15.00
Chicken Fried Rice: RM13.00
Stir-Fried Beef: RM28.00
Total: RM59.00
Average Spend: RM29.50 per pax
Score: 7.6/10
M – Meal Value
The pricing is very reasonable for a specialty regional Chinese meal in SS15. The portions are satisfying, and the technical skill in the stir-frying justifies the mid-range spend.
Score: 7.0/10
V – Venue & Vibes
Located on the first floor, the restaurant offers a straightforward, clean, and functional dining environment. It’s a no-frills spot that focuses on the kitchen’s output, making it a reliable choice for a quick and flavourful lunch.
Score: 7.0/10
X – X-Factor
The X-factor is the Jiangxi stir-fry cuisine. While regional Chinese food is booming, finding a place specifically focusing on the humble, spicy, and fragrant *Xiao Chao* (small stir-fry) style of Jiangxi adds a unique entry to the SS15 food map.
Score: 7.0/10
