Nasi Lemak
Paid a visit to the newly opened (8th August 2026) Nasi Lemak Shop in Pavilion Bukit Bintang. Place was quite packed (during lunch time) and took up the seat near the entrance, which was a pretty cosy corner.
Ordered a plate of Nasi Lemak Ayam Goreng and a Mee Siam Ayam Goreng. Also ordered a Bingsu Mango for dessert. The food delivered quite fast.
The Nasi Lemak was flavorful and fragrant. The fired chicken was really crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Not oily and the portion was quite huge. Sambal blended well with the nasi lemak. The peanuts and anchovies were crunchy. The mee siam was also delightfully nice while the chicken was similar to that of the nasi lemak. The fired chicken were all consistent in size and the servings. The Bingsu was refreshing after the spicy meal and we truly enjoyed the meal and dessert.
Had a chance to meet with Colin Soh, who was the founder and owner of the Nasi Lemak Shop. Also got to know he was the one of the co founders of Ali, Muthu & Ah Hock. Truly a simple and humble man who was passionate in what he was delivering to his customers.
The staff were friendly, alert and super attentive. Special shout out to Rudy (Manager), Hafiz and Ameer who ensured customer were well served and ensuring all needs were attended to. A truly memorial outing with good food.
