Tai Chow, Street Food
Tang Wei Cuisine (my wife says it means sweet taste). Aircon, with Comfortable setting, featuring murals on the wall, located on the 1st floor of Vintage Desiran Tanjung Tokong. (lift available for access) with available parking within the compound.
After a hot morning, We dropped by for a lunch to cool down, and sample some of the recommendation (skipping the fish, and crabs…..)
First up was a classic banquet dish, The zesty Mango Chicken Chop , topped with a generous heap of mango strips.
Than we had some Fried Tauhu featuring a delicate, silken interior.
the Sweet & Sour Pork is serve in a Yam Basket acting as the “bowl” for the glossy, pork,
though we found ourselves wishing for a slightly larger portion of meat and sauce to match the basket.
Braised Pork Trotters with Mushrooms braised until the meat is fall-off-the-bone tender and the collagen-rich sauce is thick.
Mui Choy Kai Lan (The Standout): if there is one “must-order” dish, this is it. a unique must-try. The salty, umami depth of preserved mustard greens perfectly complements the crunchy Kai Lan, accented by indulgent pork lard and savory Chinese sausage.
