Dong Tai Kopitiam Kepong Nanyang Coffee And Noodles

Chiefeater Christopher Danker tried curry noodles, tomyam noodles, wontons and Dong Tai coffee at Dong Tai Kopitiam Kepong, and found the coffee superb

Teochew, Lobster
Back at Paradise Teochew with two new dishes to report. The salt and pepper lobster was fantastic at 7.5/10

The more eccentric of the two; quintessentially Teochew, is the duck in yam pastry.
This was superb at 8/10
Pretty unique and do try if you get a chance. The crumbly, filaments of yam filo pastry gave the dish a wonderful, exciting texture. The depth of flavours from the duck elevated this to Michelin levels IMO

This has potential to be a model Teochew fine dining centerpiece, over time.
The other usual suspects delivered of course – the SG61 promo for the pepper pig tummy wrapped in chicken soup was elegant at 7.5/10 (comsistent). Today’s promo was Sat $61 for a pot serving 4 to 5 pax (UP $108).

Definitely the steal of the day, and could be reason enough for a visit on its own.
I’m beginning to think Cantonese fine fare goes to Imperial, and Teochew fine dine, definitely Teochew Paradise..
