Kampua Mee, Street Food, Non-Halal
People aske me where’s my favourite kampua or blanched noodle place. I have some favourite spot and here’s one of them, Ah Chiong Cafe that never fails to impress!

Editor’s Note
What is Kampua Mee?
Kampua Mee is a dry noodle dish with foochow origins, commonly attributed to have originated in the Sibu and Sitiawan areas. The dish is even lighter and drier than kolo mee. Sarawak Kampua Mee is lighter than Kolo mee. The other distinction is that Kolo Mee uses a curly noodle whereas Kampua Mee is usually straight. The one eaten by Chiefeater Matthew Chung at Ah Chiong Cafe is a flat noodle type.
