Chiefeater Chee Leong had lunch at Jyuu Yen Omurice Cheras

Japanese, Shabu-Shabu, Non-Halal
We are impressed, yes very impressed. Mothers Day Celebration and we finally decided to come to Arashi Shabu Shabu Gurney Plaza, Penang. Very relax and spacious for a Shabu joint. The service staff are so efficient and friendly. You hardly need to call them and instead they keep on coming around to replace paper napkins and adding more soup for us. We had pepper chicken and Tonkatsu soup for the 3 of us. We like both the soup. The meats are very good and well presented. We were specially impressed with the "Tend Beef with egg" and the Matsusaka pork cheek with layerings of healthy fats.
Tend Beef with egg.

Matsusaka pork cheek. Lovely layerings of fat.

Pork shoulder. Love the layers of fat.

Lamb

NZ Beef.

Duck blood curd, Hokkaido scallops and juicy meat balls.

Upon self checking out at the counter, the Restaurant Manager came to me with a pack of wet towel. She told me to return this to the cashier and they will only charge for 2 person usage which is only 50 sen each. Impressed??? Most places will still charge regardless of usage.
