Big Breakfast, Coffee, Pastries, Pork-free
Boink Bakery Puchong was among the first eateries that opened at Rio. While they had a slow start, they have surely built up a base of fans. Not the least among them is Chiefeater RQ. He goes there weekly for their breakfast offering and he has done a review of their big breakfast.
I finally tried one of the breakfast option at Boink Bakery Puchong, the Brunch Set A (RM15.90) which comes with a Sourdough English muffin with chicken toast ham, cheese, egg, lettuce, mayonnaise and tomato sauce. If you want to upgrade from the long black to a cup of latte or cappuccino, it is just an additional RM2 making it a total of RM17.90.

The sourdough muffin had a nice chewy bite as a sourdough should. If you are having for a fluffy muffin, this is not it. The egg was nicely done, without being overcooked. The mayonnaise sauce did not runneth over, which is not to say they were stingy but it was spread well. If you are looking for a better-quality version of McD’s muffin breakfast, Boink Bakery Puchong could be the go-to place.
My only grouse with Boink Bakery Puchong is that they open too late. 10 am for breakfast is neither here nor there for me. I guess that’s why they called it a Brunch set. However, I understand why, given the fact that is hard to find service staff.
(Updated May 2023. They heard my grouse and now open at 8 am. However, the price of the set has gone up by RM1. Inflation)
Prices are still nett.
Parking is easily available at Rio. So if you don’t want to endure the parking nightmare that is pretty much the whole of Bandar Puteri Puchong, then Rio is where you should go.
