Chiefeater VK and Jen queued up for the Grumpy Bagels 1905, uncovering an intriguing textural found within their toasted bagels

Big Breakfast, Coffee, Pork-free
Broom Artisan Bakery originally began as Gossypium at The Sphere Bangsar South but it did not take off there. They took the gutsy move to relocate and re-open in the midst of the MCO at Taman Paramount. Since then, they have gone on from strength to strength.
Broom Artisan Bakery serves a variety of pastries & bread and the display on the wall behind the cashier is certainly eye catching. But we were not there for that this time around. We were in need of breakfast. We ordered a Egg on Toast (RM15++) which comes with 2 slices of sourdough and a choice of fried eggs or scrambled eggs. I had my eggs scrambled. We also added Smoked Turkey Ham (RM8++) and a Mushroom Confit (RM8++) to complement the toast configuring our own Big Breakfast.

While the scrambled eggs were well seasoned, I found the egg too hard to be defined as a scrambled egg. It was mid-way to becoming an omelette. The smoked turkey breast was a good complement to the egg. As you can see from the picture, it was nicely plated too. The sourdough had a crust that was too hard making it hard to bite into. The mushroom confit was perhaps the best item we had on this visit. The mushroom retained a firm and a welcome savouriness, inviting me to immerse myself in its taste. Definitely a side dish to order.

PSA – don’t come to Broom Artisan Bakery in heels. You might struggle to walk through their pebbled section.
