Bak Cho Mee, Street Food, Non-Halal
Lunch was "Not Your Ordinary Bak Cho Mee" (RM11) at Centrepoint Bandar Utama food court (Kong Yam Kong Sek @ Food Valley in Bandar Utama. It's bouncy Hakka ramen with minced chicken in ginger and vinaigrette sauce, chef's own blended slightly spicy mala chilli powder, Ajitsuke tamago and fried anchovies. The stall is the first one on the left.
The noodles are springy, which I like. If you like vinegar (like black vinegar taste), you will like this. Towards the end, my tongue was tingling from the chilli powder, but didn't get numb. I didn't break out into a sweat too, so I think the spice level is still manageable. The egg was nice. Hard on the outside and soft on the inside. The yolk was slightly runny.
Would I eat it again? Yes, definitely. But the portion size was a little bit small, so I didn't feel like full, even after drinking a glass of pat zhe chow herbal drink.
