Roast Duck, Non-Halal
I had dinner with friends at Luck Kee recently, and Chiefeater Luke Soon had already written a comprehensive review of it. One particular standout that deserves its own mention is the roast duck, which, while available at Luck Kee, is actually operated by a separate vendor known as Chan Kee Roast Duck.
Chan Kee offers a relatively non-oily style of roast duck, which still manages to be quite flavourful. The skin, while tasty, was less crispy than I would have liked. However, at RM78 for a whole duck, it’s hard to complain about the value for money. It’s relatively cheap for such a dish, especially considering the quality.

Residents of Taman Paramount are certainly spoiled for choice when it comes to roast duck. With established names like Loong Foong and Sunrise also in the area, it’s impressive that Chan Kee holds its own.
Whole duck – RM78
Half duck – RM39

In summary, Chan Kee Roast Duck at Luck Kee is a solid option for roast duck enthusiasts. While it might not have the crispiest skin, its taste and value make it a worthy contender among the roast duck offerings in Taman Paramount.
