We have heard of EatAlley for some time – but decided to try today. The Chuan Huat Uncle Beh Pork Noodle was the candidate to ‘test out’ IMO the best way the discrepancy between KL and SG versions of the same dish. The others like Soong Kee beef noodles and KSHF – I feel SG would be able to come ‘closer’ given the supply chain and taste profiles.

Personal chats are secured with end-to-end encryption, so you need to restore chat history when you switch devices.

And I chose Mee Tai Bak (aka Loh Shee Fun) for this dish. There’s even pork lard cubes in the soup – a good sign. I got extra entrails, innards and pork balls – as I would with say, Peter’s Pork noodles at Money Corner.

I’d rate this Uncle Beh 6.5/10, thus so far, the closest we can get to KL’s version of pork noodles available on this red dot.

Very, very acceptable, especially if you’ve a craving.

EatAlley ‘beats’ the Malaysia Boleh! franchise IMO – and the line up of hawkers e.g. Soong Kee, Hong Lai, are more ‘credible’.
