Chicken Chop, Curry Mee, Nasi Kerabu, Non-Halal
I only visited Eat at J’s for the first time in 2021 but it quickly became one of my favourite restaurants to go to. This is one of the few restaurants that has more than one item that catches my fancy. Their interpretation of the venerable Hainanese Chicken Chop done their way and called the Oriental Chicken Chop (RM26.90+). The batter has a secret ingredient that gives it an extra crispiness. See if you can make it out when you have it there. The chicken is chunky yet tender and always well seasoned. Be warned, Eat at J’s serves one of the biggest portion of chicken chop in the Klang Valley. This is one of my go to places for chicken chop when I am in this part of PJ.
Another notable dish is the Signature Curry Noodles (RM22.90+) which comes generously laden with roast pork, char siew, long beans, brinjal, taufu pok and grade A cockles. Have it with the noodle of your choice whether it is yellow noodles, meehoon or hor fun. The curry broth is thick and each sip will delight your palate with spicy savouriness.
* update in Aug 2023. This dish is no longer has pork in it as they are now pork-free

The Nasi Kerabu (RM34.90+) at Eat at J’s is a perennial favourite among many diners. It is meant for two though there are readers among here who might finish it all by themselves. I don’t eat much rice so it’s second hand reviews that I share. Every friend that I have introduces this dish has enjoyed it.

All this effort has not gone unnoticed and Eat at J’s won a Heritage Gourmet Award for their loving dedication to traditional food this year.
