Nam Seng Coffee Shop Curry Mee
Curry Mee, Street Food
- Under RM20 per pax
Chiefeater Jaimy Yee had kochabi curry mee with fresh succulent cockles near Nam Seng Coffee Shop, along with a morning drink

Tai Chow
Finally tried Foon Kee Restaurant, which is right down the road from my uncle’s fav taichow.
The food takes a while – it’s a single chef serving up each order – 30-45mins at least. But the wait is well worth it.
This is the closest thing I’ve found to that smoky wok hei fried rice (what I call the Malaysian style fried rice) from childhood memories.
The we ordered quite a few things to try
1. Fried rice
2. Sweet and sour pork
3. Claypot kangkong
4. Tofu with minced pork
5. Butter squid
6. Kamheong lala
7. Hokkien mee
8. Bitter gourd eggs
9. Steamed trio of squid, lala and prawns
Every dish was consistently good at 7/10 and above. The best would be sweet and sour pork at 8/10
Next, the steamed trio at 7.5/10
If I had to pick one dish that was the “worst” it would be the bitter gourd eggs 🥚, but mind you even that is 7/10
The only thing about Foon Kee is that it’s NOT air-conditioned. Get ready to sweat it out! But it’s all worth it!
RM313 for 8 pax!
Tuesday to Sunday
03:00 pm to 10:30 pm
Closed on Monday
