Fried Rice
Lunch today at AEON Supermarket Puchong featured their Nasi Lemak Ayam Berempah, a collaboration with Nale. At RM12.90, it is a really decent eat that includes a generous piece of chicken. While it is a solid meal, you will still find a better and more complete “Nale experience” at their standalone stores.

The items

The Nale Nasi Lemak collab with a whole chicken leg. My only grouse is that it’s hard to eat the chicken with the plastic spoon and fork that AEON provides.

However, the real winner for me was the Nasi Goreng Kampung. Priced at only RM4.90, the rice was well-fried and very well-seasoned. And it even came with an egg. It is rare to find such quality at this price point, making it a standout choice for a quick mall lunch.

Nasi Lemak Ayam Berempah (AEON x Nale): RM12.90
Nasi Goreng Kampung: RM4.90
Onigiri Chili Salmon Mayo: RM3.90
Total: RM21.70
Average Spend: RM10.85 per pax (we were 2 pax)
Score: 8.17/10
M – Meal Value
The value here is exceptional, particularly with the RM4.90 nasi goreng which punches far above its weight in terms of seasoning and portion. Even the Nale collaboration nasi lemak offers a more accessible entry point to the brand’s flavours than standard restaurant pricing.
Score: 9.0/10
V – Venue & Vibes
The AEON delicatessen provides a bright, clean, and functional seating area within the mall. It is a high-traffic, “no-frills” environment designed for convenience and quick meals rather than a leisurely dining experience.
Score: 7.5/10
X – X-Factor
The X-factor is the premium brand collaboration at supermarket prices. Bringing a cult favourite like Nale into the AEON deli allows mall-goers to enjoy quality nasi lemak without the full restaurant premium, while the “house” nasi goreng proves that low-cost meals don’t have to sacrifice taste.
