Chiefeater Joyce Lee shares her experience about a happy lunch at Ma Yi Lan Ramen

Chicken Chop, Pork-Free
G’rai TRX offers a concept of British Malayan cuisine, which often means Hainanese-inspired dishes and more. That’s not to say their menu is limited to that. During my visit, I decided to stick with a classic choice: the Chicken Chop, priced at RM35. While this might seem steep, it’s par for the course in the TRX area.

The bustling lunch crowd was a good sign that the food was up to par, and my experience confirmed it. The chicken chop arrived surprisingly fast – within minutes of placing my order — despite the restaurant being packed. The quick service was impressive and appreciated, especially during a busy lunch hour.

As for the dish itself, it arrived hot. The chicken meat was tender and flavourful, cooked to perfection. The seasoning was just right, making every bite enjoyable. The skin was not overly fried. The portion size was satisfying and well worth the price considering the quality and location.

Overall, G’rai TRX did not disappoint. The efficient service and delicious Chicken Chop made for a pleasant dining experience.
They have a private room that is available for groups. There is a minimum spend of RM600 for 2 hours.
