Hakka Kopitiam Hokkien Meat Roll

Japanese, Katsu
Located on the 2nd floor of a very under visited mall, Hogman is a great find for those willing to look for it.

I opted for the Rosu Katsu Set, which comes served with miso soup, vegetables, and your choice of sauce. I went with the Japanese curry sauce this time. The flavor of the katsu itself was good; while the meat was slightly on the drier side, the overall quality and experience were very much worth it given the affordable price point.

Jen had a Kaki Fry Set which was good value too.

It is a solid, no-frills option for anyone craving a reliable Japanese comfort meal without breaking the bank.
Do take note, you might think this is a hidden gem but regulars have said that there’s quite a queue on weekends.
Rosu Katsu Set (Pork Loin 150g) – Japanese Curry: RM19.80
Kaki Fry Set (Fried Oyster 3pcs): RM19.80
100 Plus: RM4.00
Average Spend: About RM25 per pax
Score: 7.67/10
M – Meal Value
At under RM20 for a complete katsu set, the value is very impressive. Even with the meat being slightly dry, the price makes it an easy choice for a budget-friendly lunch.
Score: 8.0/10
V – Venue & Vibes
The restaurant is located in an under visited mall on the 2nd floor, making it feel like a well-kept secret. It offers a quiet and unassuming atmosphere.
Score: 7.0/10
X – X-Factor
The X-factor is the discovery aspect—finding such a decent meal in an unexpected location. It’s the perfect spot for those who enjoy exploring less crowded gems (except on weekends).
Score: 8.0/10
