Chicken Chop, Pork-Free
House + Co, a longstanding presence in Bangsar Shopping Centre, continues to draw crowds with its unique offerings. On a recent visit, I opted for their chicken chop, which surprised me with its interesting ingredients, including a lime. I guess I am supposed to squeeze it over the fried chicken, to add a zesty twist to each bite. Accompanying the dish was a banana fritter, a departure from the typical sides you would expect with a chicken chop.

This rendition of chicken chop was definitely unconventional, featuring unexpected flavours and pairings. The lime infused a refreshing citrus note into the savoury chicken. As for the banana fritter, its sweet, crispy profile complemented the savoury elements of the dish, offering a unique twist on a classic dish.

Overall, House + Co’s chicken chop is a departure from the norm, catering to diners looking for something different and adventurous. While it may not be everyone’s cup of tea, the creativity approach might delight some. And at over RM40 per plate, I guess they couldn’t take the path well trodden.
