Wantan Mee, Non-Halal
The wantan mee at Ipoh Ais Kopi EkoCheras turned out to be quite a decent find. Conveniently located just a short, covered walk from the Taman Mutiara LRT station, it’s a great spot for a quick meal, especially if you’re commuting. The noodles, served al dente, were of the thin variety, offering a nice bite with each mouthful. What made the dish stand out was the addition of crispy pork lard, which added a rich, indulgent flavour to the bowl.
The sauce was savoury with a slight tinge of sweetness, balancing the noodles well without being overwhelming. The shrimp wantan was decent too—plump and with good texture, though not necessarily the highlight of the meal. Together with a drink, the set was priced at RM18.90, offering fair value for the portion and quality.

The wantan however was too chewy.

For those looking for a comforting, no-fuss bowl of noodles, Ipoh Ais Kopi delivers. It may not be groundbreaking, but it hits the spot, making it a good option for a quick and satisfying lunch near the Taman Mutiara LRT.
