Ramen, Non-Halal
I had been told that Ippudo Gardens Mall serves better quality ramen than their other outlets with the exception of the Bangsar outlet, so I decided to give it a try.
I opted for one of their Full Bowl Set (RM37.90+) which came with sides of sushi, shumai, and chawan mushi with a Ramen of my choice – the Shiromaru Motoaji. That’s the ramen with their original tonkotsu broth. The sides arrived way before my ramen, which is the way it’s supposed to be. But since I wanted to take a picture of all the items, I had to wait awhile.
The side item that I enjoyed the most was the shumai, a dumpling filled with savoury goodness. While it was slightly cold (which is entirely my fault), the taste was good.
Of course, no meal at Ippudo Gardens would be complete without sampling their renowned noodles. The Shiromaru Motoaji was served al dente, as is the hallmark of Japanese cuisine, the noodles were a true delight to the senses. I like how they allow you to customise the noodle texture from soft to very hard. Each strand was perfectly cooked, retaining just the right amount of bite, while the broth enveloped them in a comforting embrace that warmed me from the inside out.

In conclusion, I would agree that not all Ippudo outlets are created equal.
