I saw this Afro-Caribbean restaurant, JOLOKO, on Tiktok and decided to go and try it.
Here’s what I ordered and their ratings.

Walnut hummus with bread - 7.5/10
Loved the bread so much because they made it on their own, fluffy and warm when it arrived. The walnut hummus was sweet and earthy. It’s more on the sweeter and sourish side which pmight not allow you to finish the whole thing.

Jamaican Jerk Chicken with Mango Relish and a Pickled Cabbage - 7.5/10
Well marinated and cooked chicken with spices of the Afro region. What did not exactly hit the spot for me was the mango relish and pickled cabbage. Maybe I’m a huge fan of a good mango salsa that these sides don’t seem to be memorable for me on this dish. Nevertheless, the sauce was a bomb of spiciness.

Chef Susu’s Jollof Rice - 8.5/10
This was very amazing! It distinguishes itself from other flavoured rice coming from different region. Very flavourful with a hint of spiciness and paired well with the chicken.
