Chiefeater VK visited Canton Boy SS15 Courtyard in Subang Jaya, finding a chain restaurant that defies expectations

Chinese, Non-Halal, Fine Dining
Some really good dishes from Kai Duck Ngee Ann City today. The HK curry fish balls & pork skin was a standout. The ‘water cooked fish’ was also excellent, numbing goodness from mala spices.

The claypot tofu with salted vegetables was a rice killer. All 3 dishes at solid 7s.

These aren’t on the menu except the curry fish balls.

The spicy fish was excellent – not as oily as their pure Chinese counterparts. I guess this is a HK rendition. We had the staples (pineapple bun & french beans with minced pork for my daughter).
Total was SGD169 for 3 pax.
