Chiefeater VK explored the highly acclaimed Chef Chew Kitchen, finding remarkably good traditional dishes and phenomenal affordability

Pan Mee, Street Food, Non-Halal
For years, Kean Fatt Restaurant in SS3 has been known for its pork noodles. We decided to check out Chun Kee pan mee stall (which used to operate a second stall at Restoran Kim Seng in Section 17 but had since shuttered) as we were craving a good bowl of mee hoon kueh. Overall 6/10.

The nasi lemak was ok 6/10 – got the kerang and sotong side dishes, which are harder to get in Singapore. The crisp fried chicken drumstick was ok.

The siew yoke was surprisingly good at 6.5/10 – reminded me a little of Bernard’s. But only a little.

The roasted chicken was so so.

The Yongtaufoo was ok at 6/10
