Today, my mum wanted to eat cendol, so after running some errands, I found a rojak and cendol place and drove there. Located in front of Padang Ipoh, the rojak stall was in Kedai Kopi Fatt Kee, in a white historical colonial building. One of many in the area. We were the last customers at around 4.40pm.
We ordered a mee goreng (RM5.00) and 2 cendols (RM5.00 each). I'm not a fan of mee goreng, but this was very good, and it won me over. It was yummy, full of flavour and had loads of wok hei. Tangy and spicy, the mee goreng was full of fried bean curd, potato, bean sprouts and egg.
The cendol was tasty and had a generous amount of gula melaka, but the ice was too coarse. They put some sweet corn on top too, a first for me.
