Mr Eight Kitchen Breakfast
Malaysian, Pork-Free
- RM20 - RM50 per pax
Chiefeater KC Yan had a nice breakfast at Mr Eight Kitchen on Jalan Burma which has been around since 1963
Mexican, Pork-Free
Dropped by La Boca at Pavilion Damansara Heights for lunch and tried a spread of dishes that spanned their Latin American-inspired menu: Chicken Quesadilla, Chicken Milanese, and Nachos.
The Chicken Milanese looked promising—crispy and golden—but fell short in flavour. The chicken itself was under-seasoned, and surprisingly, the fries served on the side were more enjoyable than the main.
The Nachos, on the other hand, were solid. Good crunch, decent toppings, and something you’d be happy to share around the table.
But the standout was undoubtedly the Chicken Quesadilla. Though modestly sized, it packed flavour and texture in every bite—a pocket-sized delight with a satisfying cheese-pull and well-seasoned chicken filling.
A nice bonus—lunch sets come at 20% off the regular à la carte prices and include an iced lemon tea, making it a good value midday option despite the uneven quality of the dishes. If you’re visiting, go for the quesadilla and maybe just steal a few fries from someone else’s Milanese (if they order it)

If you are a mosquito magnet, I would advice against sitting in the al-fresco area (even during the day) because those mozzies will descend on you like a swarm.
