Restoran New Kai Seng Seafood Dinner
Chinese, Non-Halal
- RM50 - RM100 per pax
Chiefeater Pat Lim celebrated a loved one's birthday with a sumptuous Chinese cuisine dinner at Restoran New Kai Seng Seafood
Chicken Wings, Halal
Another quiet weekend with plenty of reading and moto-wrenching at home, so I'm scratching my head about what to get for lunch. A quick prompt from Chiefeater VK gets me all hungry for chicken wings so I load the Grab mega-app and fire off an order.
Half an hour later, my set of six chicken wings from Lim Fried Chicken or LFC arrives. They're still piping hot, nestled three to a box in simple, thin paper containers. They aren't cheap at RM29.90 for six meaty wings but the taste beats the typical stuff from the other big fried chicken franchise. I can taste a hint of turmeric and curry spices, a bit on the salty side, so it's more like the fried chicken our grandmothers used to cook. The skin is crispy and I can savor the meaty flavor of the chicken without an overwhelming coating of oily batter.
I paired these wings with a few hot sauces lurking in my fridge because I found them a little bland if eaten on their own. Your mileage may vary. I would definitely order these again if I have a craving for chicken wings.
