Chiefeater Luke Soon made a stop at Pan Heong Restaurant in Batu Caves to reacquaint himself with some of their stellar dishes

Korean, Non-Halal
If you like Korean food but want something different from the usual Korean BBQ, Kimchi Dining serves really yummy and unique Korean fusion food. We started with Makgeolli bread, a pretty flower shaped house bread. It was so soft and fluffy, and was accompanied by a rich, charcoal-infused white bean butter. It was so yummy and addictive! Accompanying the starter was 7 types of Kimchi which was something different from a typical Korean restaurant.

Next we tried their Gamjajeon, a potato pancake topped with radish and onion jangaji and bacon, served with a side of onion truffle mayo and cheese shavings. It was also really good!

The braised beef short ribs were so so but the cold noodle was creamy and tasty.

And of course, no meal is complete without dessert. We were presented with black sesame ice cream and a chocolate truffle tart. Both were delish!

The Makgeolli here is also worth a mention, very smooth and not too sweet.
