Chiefeater Luke Soon sampled the food at the acclaimed Bar.Kar and found some gems among the items he ordered

Thai, Street Food, Pork-Free
We were looking around Pavilion Bukit Jalil to see what we could have for lunch. That was when we chanced upon Mama Mee Yah. It was such a clever name that we decided to take a look at their menu and that was where we found out they served Thai cuisine. We were game for that so we decided to give it a try.
Jen ordered the Thai “Yam” Glass Noodle with Lala (RM17.90+). While the lala was passable, the glass noodle was well fried and very flavourful. If the lala had been fresh, then this would have been perfect.

I had the Chiang Rai Mama Mee with Smoked Duck (RM13.90+) and extra shrimps (RM7.50+). The noodles were springy and had bite to it. Most important was that this dish was well seasoned and had a nice amount spice in it. It did leave my tongue feeling a bit fiery. I didn’t mind it as I enjoyed the taste and fire lingering in my tongue.

We also ordered a side of Okra (RM6.90+). Like all the dishes here, it certainly did not lack in the flavour department. I found it thoroughly enjoyable.

The Soya Beancurd with Coconut Ice Cream (RM9.90+) was a welcome dish to soothe the fiery flavours we had earlier.

The + is for the 10% service charge at Mama Mee Yah.
