Chiefeater Chee Leong tried the different types of nasi lemak at Kedai Kopi Makanan Nam Wah in Ulu Langat for breakfast
Sarawak Laksa, Kampua Mee, Kopi, Non-Halal
The outlet that we had planned to dine at was not open and that's how we ended up at Mama Ting Sarawak Noodle Puchong. It turned out to be a pretty good turn of events. I was eager to try the Sarawak Laksa and the friendly waitress recommended pairing the Sarawak Laksa with their signature Kolo Mee (RM13). Jen opted for a Kampua Mee (RM8.50).
While both the noodles displayed commendable quality, I observed a restraint in the seasoning that, left me yearning for a bolder flavour.
Kampua Mee
Sarawak Laksa
The Hokkien meat roll (RM9.50) which is akin to Lor Bak, a savory sidekick to the noodle affair, offered a delicious diversion. I liked the crispy exterior coupled with the firm flavourful meaty interior.
However the gem of the meal was actually the coffee, which is sourced from the renowned Chang Jiang in Ipoh. The robust, aromatic notes of the coffee added a layer of richness to the dining experience, elevating the meal to a level of caffeinated bliss.
