Hon Kee Petaling Street Kepong Roast Pork
Chiefeater Alwyn David and his family had dinner at Hon Kee Petaling Street Kepong and found the roast pork good

Char Kuey Teow, Street Food
This friendly lady manning the wok was crowned the 2025 Char Koay Teow Champion in a local competition and her popularity has grown ever since. Winnie Ong Char Koay Teow, also known as Hean Char Koay Teow, is a very popular stall in Pulau Tikus now.

Winnie Ong practises a high-heat frying technique to give her signature dish a ‘breath of the wok’ (wok hei).

The serving size may be small but it is packed with ‘wok hei’, as the noodles are fried over high heat with smoke billowing through the dish. A standard serving of char koay teow with chicken egg at RM8.00. Add RM1.00 for a duck egg.

Be sure to come early, as it usually sells out by noon. If possible, avoid weekends too, as seating is quite limited in this old-fashioned kopitiam.
