If you’re hunting for the best crab in Puchong, Matang Seafood Puchong along Jalan Kenari 17F deserves a spot on your list. Their current promotion — three nicely sized salt-baked crabs for RM98 — is a real catch, especially considering how fresh and meaty the crabs are.
The salt-baked crabs were excellent: naturally sweet, firm yet juicy, and baked just long enough for the salt crust to draw out the deep ocean flavour without overpowering it. Every claw cracked open easily to reveal fresh, succulent meat.
The accompanying dishes of claypot sweet potato leaves with garlic (RM21.40) and wat tan hor (RM14)were decent, but the crabs easily stole the spotlight. For the price and portion, this promotion is one of the better seafood deals you can find around Bandar Puchong Jaya.
