Chiefeater Luke Soon found the claypot yee mee and the fuchuk at Jeng Pan Mee SS2 to be quite good

Japanese
Dinner at Ramen Izakaya Temma was a pretty good experience overall.
We started with the Salmon Sashimi and Koebi (deep-fried small shrimp).

The Kushimori was a bit “meh” and didn’t quite hit the same heights as the beef. Only the chicken thigh and the mushroom was good.

Yakisoba.

The Tonkotsu Ramen was full flavored and I like how the firm texture of the noodles.

The standout for me was the Beef Skewers (Temma Doteyaki); they were well-prepared and flavorful.

One of the most interesting aspects of the meal was the drink presentation. The sake was served in a traditional drinking box (Masu), which adds a lovely touch of authenticity to the izakaya atmosphere.

Temma Doteyaki (Beef Skewers, 4 pcs): RM20.00
Tonkotsu Ramen (2 bowls): RM56.00
Kushimori (5 Skewers): RM30.00
Salmon Sashimi: RM28.00
Koebi (Fried Shrimp): RM14.00
Yakisoba: RM20.00
Beverages (Highball & Hot Tea): RM40.00
Sake (Dassai 250ml): RM130.00
Total: RM371.80 for 3 pax (Including 10% Service Charge)
Average Spend: RM124.00 per pax
Score: 7.9/10
M – Meal Value
An average spend of RM124 per head is on the higher side for a casual dinner, largely driven by the premium Dassai sake. However, the food portions are decent, and the quality of the beef skewers provides good value for the price.
Score: 7.5/10
V – Venue & Vibes
The restaurant, located in the Saujana Villa clubhouse, captures a genuine izakaya feel. The service of sake in a masu box is a great cultural touch that enhances the dining atmosphere, making it feel like a true neighborhood Japanese haunt.
Score: 8.2/10
X – X-Factor
The X-factor is the traditional sake service and the Doteyaki. It’s the small details—like the overflow pour into the drinking box—that make the experience feel authentic rather than just another commercial ramen shop.
