Souffle, Latte, Pork-Free
After dinner at Las Meninas, my daughter treated me to dessert at MIL Toast House TRX. Starting from its original store at Ikseon-dong, Seoul in 2018, they have branched out worldwide and are now in KL too.

Jen and I shared a Strawberry Soufflé French Toast.

Milk toast, a delightful departure from regular wheat bread, has a richer, creamier taste and a softer, fluffier texture. This difference comes from its ingredients; milk toast is made with milk, butter, and sometimes a touch of sugar, giving it a slight sweetness and a velvety mouthfeel. In contrast, wheat bread is typically made with water, whole wheat flour, and a bit of oil, resulting in a denser, more fibrous texture and a heartier taste. The milk toast at MIL Toast House TRX was exceptionally soft, with a melt-in-your-mouth quality that paired perfectly with the light, airy strawberry soufflé.

To complement the dessert, I had a matcha latte. The latte was thick and delicious, with a robust matcha flavour that was neither too bitter nor too sweet. It was a perfect pairing with the strawberry soufflé and milk toast, rounding off our meal on a high note. MIL Toast House TRX provided a satisfying end to our evening.
