Banana Leaf Rice, Indian, Pork-Free
Searching for food on the first day of Chinese New Year around Sungai Buloh was how we ended up at MST Curry House at Bukit Rahman Putra. Stepping inside, I was immediately greeted by the friendly and efficient staff, setting the stage for what would be a delightful dining experience.
As I settled into my seat, I couldn’t resist ordering a classic Teh Tarik to kickstart my meal. Served piping hot with the perfect balance of sweetness and creaminess, it was the ideal companion to whet my appetite and set the tone for the culinary delights that awaited.

David and Bernice opted for the banana leaf rice. I was pleased to see that the prices started from a wallet-friendly RM8.50. The array of curries and accompaniments laid out before them promised a feast for the senses.

The chicken curry, while not particularly outstanding, was still a comforting addition to the meal. However, I found the fried chicken to be a bit lacking in seasoning, leaving it somewhat bland compared to our expectations.

Moving on to the curries, I couldn’t help but notice that they were slightly less tangy than I would have preferred. The fish curry was also on the salty side. Nevertheless, the dhall stood out for its thick and hearty texture, reminiscent of home-cooked goodness.

Roti Canai

Despite the minor qualms with some of the dishes, the highlight of my dining experience at MST Curry House was undoubtedly the incredible value for money. With a lunch bill totalling just RM43.20 for a meal that comfortably fed four diners, it’s clear that this establishment ranks high on affordability and good attentive service.
