Chiefeater Jaimy Yee had spicy egg, Balinese curry rice and red wine grilled chicken at 3 Leg Cat Cafe and enjoyed all three

Nasi Lemak, Pork-Free
I had the Nasi Lemak Murni Discovery (RM18.90) at Murni Discovery SS15, and unfortunately, it wasn’t what I would like my nasi lemak to be. The dish came with an Ayam Pandan, Sambal Petai with some shrimps and sotong in it, a hard boiled egg, kacang and ikan bilis.

Starting with the sambal, it leaned heavily on the sweet side, lacking the savoury kick that I like to accompany my nasi lemak with. Nor was it spicy.

The pandan chicken, which should have been the highlight of the dish, was sweet too. The chicken had an overly firm texture and did I mention it was sweet? So sweet until neither Jen nor I could finish it. This is what we left behind on the plate.

The rice was firm but not fragrant.

The only saving grace of this dish for me was the ikan bilis. Crispy and savoury, it provided a moment of enjoyment.
If you like your sambal and chicken sweet, you would want to give this a try at Murni Discovery SS15.
