Mee Siam
It was a surprise to discover this outlet, as the space is quite large and was bustling with patrons even by 10 am. The picture below was almost 1 pm when I was leaving. It serves as a solid choice if you’re looking for a modern Nanyang-style kopitiam that offers pork on the menu.

My Mee Siam was tasty, though I did have a minor grievance: I requested it without an egg, yet was charged the full price of RM6.90 with no substitute or discount provided. Additionally, the vermicelli was somewhat broken, lacking the structural integrity I’ve enjoyed at other spots like BKK or The Toast.

What the mee siam looks like with an egg, which one of my friends ordered.

The White Coffee was a significant letdown, appearing almost devoid of the signature aroma one expects from an Ipoh-style brew.

On the bright side, my friend’s Wantan Mee was a success; he described the noodles as having a delightfully springy, “rubber band-like” texture. That would be the al-dente texture that I like.

The other plus is their good service.
Classic Mee Siam RM6.90
Wantan Egg Noodles (Dry): RM14.90
Nam Heong Ipoh White Coffee (Hot): RM5.80
Average bill per person would be about RM25 per pax
Score: 7.0/10
M – Meal Value
With prices creeping into the higher range for a kopitiam (e.g., RM14.90 for dry wantan noodles), the value is strictly average. Being charged full price for an item removed from a dish without compensation impacts the perceived fairness.
Score: 6.5/10
V – Venue & Vibes
The high-ceilinged, converted factory space is impressive and comfortable, making it a great venue for large gatherings. It successfully captures a polished, modern Nanyang aesthetic. Their good service adds to this score.
Score: 8.0/10
X – X-Factor
The mee siam’s taste was the X-factor thought the broken vermicelli strands deducted points off it.
Score: 6.5/10
