Char Kuey Teow, Non-Halal
No. 5 Char Koay Teow is the kind of char koay teow (CKT) i like – everything in – cockles, chinese sausage, spring onion, crispy pork lard… and of course big prawns. fried with wok hei too. at RM15.00 per plate, some of you might scream expensive but to me it is reasonable since there are 3 big prawns and the prawns are fresh and delicious.

i want at near 12 noon when it first started to open and there were already so many customers – i had to wait near 30 mins! i saw 3 tables with about 10 people (spread between the 3 tables), without their CKT yet… thus had to wait lah.

the cook, ah wei, is now being helped by 3 foreigner workers, taking orders and serving for him. when you enter, you are asked to go sit first and not order first (i suppose only when there are so many people, like this time). so you go sit and wait for the staff to come and ask you about your order.

btw, since i notice now they have asam laksa, i tapau it back to eat. laksa gravy was very good but unfortunately the noodle not good as not smooth and soft. RM7.00
