Strolling along Salamanca Market
Street Food
Chiefeater Eddie Low and his travel buddy strolled along Salamanca Market on Saturday to savour the delights on offer
Hokkien Mee, Noodles, Street Food, Non-Halal
A converted market that has been lovingly preserved and given a new life as a food court, that is the Old Market Food Court Butterworth. Currently it houses a variety of Hawker Food Stalls, with the Anchor Tenant being the Famous Assumption Road Curry Mee, with it's long queue and early sell out status. (Note: Strictly Self Service)
Dropping by one morning, we were greeted by more than 20 persons in a line forming in front of the Curry Mee, which made us decide to order from other stalls in the Food Court.
We had the
1. Hokkien Mee (Penang Version) which at RM5, had a nice topping of Pork, Meat, Skin n Intestine. Good Umami Flavour
2. Koey Teow Thng, also at RM5, with topping of Fish Ball, Mince Pork in a light Broth.....
This food court has their own carpark. So there no worries (Usually) for Parking.
In the evening the Anchor Tenant is a Chu Cha Stall that offer many good dishes.
