We had a care group lunch recently at OUG Jade Restaurant. We took a set lunch option which turned out to be a pretty good deal.At RM223 it came with appetizers, option of 6 items, desserts. Since there were 9 of us, it came up to less than RM25 per pax.
There are 6 groups of food to choose from. Fish, Seafood, Meat, Poultry, Vegetables and Beancurd & Egg. From the options we chose Fried Prawns, Thai styled Tilapia, Fried Pork Neck, Ginger Chicken with Clam, Stir Fried Vegetables and Minced Meat on Tofu.
Fried Prawns
Fried Pork Neck
Thai Style Tilapia
Stir Fried Vegetables
Ginger Chicken with Clam
Minced Meat on Tofu
Even though the restaurant was packed, food was served in about half an hour. What was interesting was their LED screen was projecting the CCTV in their kitchen. Perhaps it was to show diners how busy their kitchen was.
I don’t think there’s anything to complain about their food. Service was attentive, food was served relatively fast and the price, quite unbeatable. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not that they cannot do a premium meal. They have sets starting fro RM1,388++ but you can start with sets that start as low as RM158.80++
It’s an inclusive business strategy to cater to customers at different price points.
