Quan Ji Fried Meehoon
Street Food
Chiefeater Luke Soon had a very good fried meehoon at Quan Ji and did not have to put up with a queue because it was a Saturday

I had to check out what is said to be the best CKT mee in Singapore. Arrived at 8.30 am , the queue was not too bad, only 12 ahead and the operators are very organized and took orders/ payments from those in line.

Happy to note that sweet dark soya sauce was used sparingly. Fragrant and smoky, the chillies quite pronounced and taugeh lightly fried n crunchy. This is the slighter wetter Southern version CKT but not oily with the noodles amply fried ( though not individually)

Yup it’s the best so far but I am not comparing the ones in PJ or Penang. I certainly will be back for my CKT fix here if I don’t go back to Penang anytime soon
