Chicken Chop, Pork-Free
I was at Gardens to run an errand and once I had completed it, I was feeling hungry so decided to look around for a place I had not eaten before. That’s how I came to Padi House Garden’s Mall. While they had certain attractively priced set lunches, all of them contained carbs which did not appeal to me.
I decided to go for a Grilled Chicken Chop with Black Pepper Sauce. The price was RM33.90 which is rather expensive for a plate of chicken chop. I thought since I had never eaten there before, I should give it a chance. Perhaps it would surprise me.
When the plate arrived, I wasn’t too impressed by the size of it.

The good thing however was that the piece of chicken was not thin. The first bite was to seal what I thought of the whole meal. The meat, while tender and moist, was charred on the outside. That left it with a bitter taste.

The rather muted notes of the black pepper sauce left me did not help to endear me to this dish. The sides of broccoli and carrot were so hard that it was almost like eating a raw vegetable.

I should have tried the set options. One thing I can say for Padi House Gardens Mall is that is has an excellent location of being near the exit to KL Eco City.
