All this while we’ve been going to Paradise Teochew Takashimaya for the cold crab. Today we sampled the steamed crab in mince pork. Perfection. 8/10

Reminds me of the ‘pak wan ching’ or white cloud steamed crab with Chiefeater VK from decades ago. Except this bed of ‘clouds’ is succulent minced pork infused with soya sauce and crab juices. The creaminess of the roe is next level, and the sweetness of crab is sugar-like. You will want to try this dish. Good on its own with steamed rice.

The famous Teochew porrrdge are well represented here in Teochew Paradise. There are two go-tos, the oyster and pomfret congee. Both are sublime but today the pomfret was so fulfilling. 7.5/10 and this is a high score for a dish we could make at home ourselves.

The lobster mee pok was also a stunner at 7/10
