Ping Wai Restaurant opened in Bandar Puchong Jaya earlier in 2023. They were originally from Kota Kemuning having opened there in 2011. Their cuisine consists of rice and noodles. Since I had not had curry mee for awhile, that was what I had, their Pulau Ketam Curry Laksa Noodle 吉胆咖喱叻 that was priced at RM15.
I had arrived just before the lunch crowd and just in time too. Once my food arrived, the outlet filled up and almost every table was filled up. My preference for curry mee is always to have it with wantan mee, and thankfully they had this option.
I liked it that the wantan mee was not overcooked in the broth so it was not too mushy. The broth in the curry mee was tasty and had a heavier hand of coconut milk in it. The condiments was generous enough to cover the noodles when it arrived. The distraction would be the size of the shrimps. I include a picture below.
The white coffee (RM4.50) was pretty good. Aromatic without being too sweet.
All in it was a good bowl of curry mee and coffee at Ping Wai Restaurant Puchong. They are located right in front of the Puchong Jaya car park complex, so parking is not exceptionally difficult. Take note of their business hours. They are among the earliest places to open in Puchong. This is where you can go for an early breakfast.
Prices are nett.
