Tucked away off Jalan Universiti, the original Pokok KL Cafe is a cute little glass box that serves up the yummies.

My poached eggs were plump & runny, the sundried cherry tomatoes - like a chewy candy, and that artsy-looking mushroom soup had good depth.

Richard's nyonya laksa was the right level of spicy, but the prawn flavour was a little overpowering. perfect if you're a seafood lover though.

We hung around for the ambiance and shared dessert & coffee as well - loved the biscoff cheesecake, they were careful to hold back on the sugar. We've been to Pokok at Sunway Velocity, but today's MAHSA outlet outshone it. it was a little box of delight.
