Chiefeater Kane Chong shares supper at Foodie Foodie Kuchai, with pulled pork pizza, char kuey teow, shawarma and lekor

Curry Mee, Non-Halal
I recently placed another food delivery order, this time from Restoran 668 in Bandar Puteri 2. Craving some curry mee, I decided to go all out and opted for extra cockles. To my delight, they did not skimp on them, providing a generous portion that added a delightful briny flavour to the dish. Additionally, I added a side of fried wantan to round out the meal.

The curry itself was full of flavour, showcasing a well-balanced blend of spices. However, it’s worth noting that it falls into the watery variety rather than the thick, coconut milk-laden type that some might expect. For those who prefer their curry rich and creamy, this might be a slight letdown, but I found the lighter consistency to my liking.

The fried wantan was crispy and provided a nice textural contrast to the curry mee. Each bite was satisfying, and the flavours complemented each other well. The combination of the spicy, savoury curry and the crunchy wantan made for a delightful meal.

While the food was alright, the total bill for the curry mee from Restoran 668 came to RM33.80, not including the delivery fee. This seemed a bit steep for a curry mee meal, even if the delivery cost was free.
