Roast Chicken, Char Siew, Non-Halal
Was at Restoran Char Siew Yoong for the first time, and I must say, it left me with a mixed feelings. First and foremost, the char siew and roast chicken served at this establishment is a cut above most offerings from similar kopitiam. The meat was tender and succulent.

Now, when it came to their Pork Knuckle, they’ve certainly nailed the texture. It boasted a wonderful softness that was just right, and the thickness of the sauce was spot on. The attention to these details was quite commendable.
However, here’s where it gets tricky. While the texture and sauce thickness were on point, the taste of the pork knuckle at Restoran Char Siew Yoong didn’t quite align with my personal preferences. Taste is, after all, a rather subjective matter. It leaned in a direction that didn’t quite resonate with my palate.
