Hazuki Japanese Haute Cuisine
Japanese
Chiefeater Luke Soon had wanted to dine at Hazuki for a long time and finally tried out their Hare menu which features Japanese haute cuisine

Pizza, Pork-Free
Arriving early for my ETS trip to Ipoh, I found myself at Roberto’s 1020 in Nu Sentral, looking for a quick yet satisfying lunch. I opted for the classic Margherita pizza. Traditionally, a Margherita pizza is an embodiment of simplicity and authenticity in Italian cuisine, showcasing the tri-colours of the Italian flag through its core ingredients: vibrant red tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, and fragrant basil, all laid atop a thin, hand-stretched dough. It’s baked in a stone oven, achieving that perfect balance of crispiness on the edges with a soft, chewy centre.

When my pizza arrived, it was freshly made and served warm. The thin crust was just right, allowing the flavours of the tomato and mozzarella to shine without overwhelming the palate. Paired with a glass of white wine, it made for a decent, no-frills meal before boarding the train. A simple yet comforting way to kick off the journey.
