Shake Shack Sunway has finally landed in Sunway Pyramid, taking up a prime spot next to the mall’s main entrance. The space itself is inviting—bright, airy, and well-designed to create a pleasant dining atmosphere. Unfortunately, that was where the positives ended.

I ordered a beef burger with a fried mushroom, expecting a rich, savoury bite. However, the beef patty was disappointingly bland, with barely any distinct beef flavour. The taste of the mushroom ended up overpowering the patty, making it the dominant taste in every bite.

If there was one win, it was the burger wrapper, which held up well throughout the meal—keeping the burger intact and avoiding any mess. But for a place with a reputation for quality burgers, if the burger wrapper takes centre stage then there’s a problem.
