Modern-Thai dinner at the recently opened (January 2025) Siam Social Penang on Noordin Street.
Started off with some refreshing 𝘾𝙝𝙖 𝙔𝙚𝙣 (Thai: ชาเย็น) - Thai iced milk tea.
Our dinner spread consisted of:
𝙎𝙞𝙖𝙢 𝙎𝙤𝙘𝙞𝙖𝙡 𝙍𝙤𝙟𝙖𝙠 - fresh vegetables with 𝘯𝘢𝘮 𝘱𝘭𝘢 𝘸𝘢𝘢𝘯 (Thai: นำ้ปลาหวาน) palm sugar-fish sauce-shrimp paste dip.
𝙂𝙖𝙚𝙣𝙜 𝙆𝙝𝙞𝙖𝙤 𝙒𝙖𝙖𝙣 𝙂𝙖𝙞 (Thai: แกงเขียวหวานไก่) - Thai green curry set.
𝙎𝙞𝙖𝙢 𝙎𝙤𝙘𝙞𝙖𝙡 𝙏𝙝𝙖𝙞 𝙂𝙧𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙙 𝘾𝙝𝙞𝙘𝙠𝙚𝙣 𝙎𝙚𝙩.
𝙋𝙖𝙙 𝙆𝙖𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙬 𝙂𝙖𝙞 (Thai: ผัดกระเพราไก่) - stir-fried chicken with basil.
𝙎𝙞𝙖𝙢 𝙎𝙤𝙘𝙞𝙖𝙡 𝙎𝙚𝙖𝙛𝙤𝙤𝙙 𝙋𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙖 - pasta with baby abalone and prawns.
Desserts
𝘾𝙝𝙤𝙘𝙤𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙚 𝙈𝙤𝙪𝙨𝙨𝙚.
