Chiefeater Khor Hui Min was back in Ipoh in time for a simple but delicious dinner at the venerable Ipoh Tuck Kee Restaurant
Nyonya Cuisine, Non-Halal
Tried out Sinkhek Peranakan Cuisine today. They have been operating since Nov 2022. Ordered 3 dishes & 1 dessert. Lovely place but no air-con (open space). We were a team of 3 persons.
1) Perut Ikan - RM15
Spicy sour stew of local fresh herbs and pickled fish stomach. love the authentic taste and the sourness just nice for my. Love it very much.
2) Penang Lor Bak - RM10 (2 rolls)
Five spices pork roll. Texture and Taste are all excellent. soft and fragrance.
3) Jiu Hoo Char - RM18
Stir fried carrot, jicama, cuttlefish
Texture for me is a bit overcooked. Too soft. Can’t feel the crunchiness of the veggies. But the taste wasperfect. Didn’t added sugar at all . Can feel the veggie's sweetness.
4) Coconut jelly - RM6
No added water and sugar. 100% percent pure.
The sambal at Sinkhek Peranakan Cuisine is fantastic.
